Food

I think that choosing a single food as your favorite food is not something simple since there is a great variety of flavors and textures, and personally I really like tempura foods.

So without further ado, I could say that Sushi (California Rolls) is my favorite food.

Although the "California Rolls" Sushi set is not typical of Japanese culture, since they contain cream cheese and American ingredients (Mayo spicy, cheddar, etc. which I hate in sushi), I choose the middle ground between Japanese and American, keeping the original flavor of the Japanese ingredients, but adding the cream cheese and American style tempura.

My favorite in this category is the shrimp breading with chives and teriyaki sauce (although in Japanese culture teriyaki sauce can only be used for eel sushi, I really like its flavor and prefer it since I don't like soy sauce).

I am aware that this is not very good for my health or my physical condition, however I usually eat this once a month or so, besides, how bad can tempura sushi be compared to a plastic hamburger from McDonald's? Hahaha.

Changes to my study programme

I sincerely disagree very much with the sound engineering curriculum, as the career is too artistic and classical, since the basic subjects are not taught to be considered an "Engineering", rather the curriculum is more suitable for music composition and music theory with a little mathematics. In my curriculum there is a yearly subject called "Audición analítica" which consists of listening to classical music and from it creating a scheme, however this subject is far from being modern and necessary, and I don't understand how this subject is more important compared to Thermodynamics, for an engineering.

In my study program there are 2 teaching methods, one of them is based on learning everything by heart (which I consider the most nefarious teaching method possible), while the other teaching method is based on the application of content, however I would like to add a teaching method where students generate spaces of interaction with the sound and acoustic phenomenon.

Regarding the infrastructure of the faculty, although it is not the worst, it could be improved, for example by restoring the elevator in section B. As for the equipment we have, in my opinion it is necessary to update it, since in sound we have software to model acoustics, however the computers are not capable of running that software (which is worth approximately 8000 dollars).

There are still many changes missing in the curriculum, and unfortunately I have 3 years left to finish my higher education, and to be honest I don't think I can see any changes.

Movies and/or series that you Would recommend

Among all the series I have seen, there is one in particular that I would like to recommend, its name is "Disenchantment" which is produced by Matt Groening (the same producer of "The Simpsons").

The main characters are 3, the first main character is Bean, the king's daughter who is spoiled and enjoys benefits and special treats, however, she is going through an emotional void due to situations in her life that do not allow her to have emotional stability. The second main character is Elfo, who within his village is marginalized, but outside of it is treated normally, he is Bean's best friend. The third and last main character is Lucifer, and as his name refers, is the physical representation of Lucifer, within the series is the character with more development (in my opinion).

The reason why I would recommend this series is because it is entertaining and all the plot (magical and medieval scenarios) has a reason to be, although the chapters are not necessarily continuous, the plot and seasons are linked around a specific point.

In short, it is an animated series with humor for adults, where we are shown the personification and development of our subconscious (the bad side and the good side).

Best Concert Ever

While I have known different places in Chile on my vacations, there is a concert that was very significant for me, it was in September 2019, in an event center in the city of Peñaflor was presented "Shamanes Crew" which is a musical group that was a pioneer in Dancehall and Reggaeton in Chile and it is worth mentioning that I listen to their music since I was 10 years old.

"Shamanes Crew" was formed by 5 members, but unfortunately in 2013 "Mc Browen" died, who was the main vocalist.

What I really found emotional was that in the concert they sang all the old songs of the group, which generated a very pleasant and nostalgic atmosphere as all attendees sang and danced to the rhythm of their songs, in addition to performing a tribute to "Mc Browen" where the singer "Stailok" from the group "Movimiento Original" was invited.

I was very happy in that concert because I knew all the songs, and I could be part of the atmosphere generated, plus that same day, after the concert I could meet "Cestar" the DJ and music producer of "Shamanes Crew".

Post: A COUNTRY YOU WOULD LIKE TO VISIT

 Although I would like to visit as many countries as possible in my life, one of the destinations that cannot be missed is Mexico, since it has a very broad culture, full of legends, historical facts, and a very good gastronomy. Although I do not have a perfect command of Mexican traditions and customs, I have a previous knowledge of the most popular ones, such as "The Day of the Dead", the commemoration of independence, legends such as "La llorona" and typical dishes such as Pozole, Chamorro, Tacos and birria.

Another reason is to visit the "Pyramid of the Sun" and "Pyramid of the Moon" places where we can learn a little of what was the Mayan and Aztec civilization. 

Besides visiting Acapulco, which is one of the most popular and famous beaches, which has different attractions and where several TV shows and international movies have been filmed.

I would like to work for a couple of years as a sound engineer and music producer, I believe that Mexican music has always had great exponents in music such as Vicente Fernandez, Marco Antonio Solis and for my taste the best of all "El Divo de Juarez" Juan Gabriel, one of the only artists worldwide who owns all copyrights of his songs and musical creations.

That is why I think Mexico is one of the main countries I would like to visit. 

The music producer thai I admire.

Tijs Michiel Verwest aka Tiesto, is a Netherland music producer/DJ, he was born the January 17th 1969, and his aka Tiesto is because this was his childhood nickname.  

I admire Tiesto because in the year 2004 he was the first DJ to play music on stage at the Olympic Games.

Tiesto has contributed to many social events such as being the official ambassador of the Dance4Life foundation, and creating the song "Dance4Life" to help spread awareness about HIV. In 2009 he created his own music label called "Musical Freedom" giving him the opportunity to emergent artist to play they music in a diversity of music festivals like UMF (Ultra Music Festival) and Tomorrowland Music Festival.

Making the world a better place.

 Be a sound engineer no make a better world, but I can help making music with a good content, or with a important message, the music is so important in this time, a lot of people arround the word would be helped with the music, for example a person with depression can realice better his activities listening a great music piece and this would improve his self-esteem and like a chain reaction improve his mental health. Now multiplicate it for a lot of people that bein beneficiated with this.

I can work with a group of singers to make a song and this song would had an explicit or implicit mesasage, for example the message would be about how react in the broke in the relationship and how we must be patient and gratefull for the knowledge and time with this person.

In conclusion I may contributy with improve the mental health of the people arround the world and this can make the world a better place.
